William Codd Obituary
Born on December 31, 1933, in Northborough, MA, Bill spent his early years on a dairy farm. In 1954, he married Beverly, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage until her passing in 2018. Together, they raised two children in Northborough, later residing in New Jersey before retiring to Montrose in 1995.
Bill had a lifelong passion for learning and applied his analytical mind to a successful career in mechanical engineering. He managed machine shops for abrasive companies and was respected for his leadership and innovative approach to problem-solving.
In retirement, Bill deepened his Christian faith and supported the Montrose United Methodist Church. He regularly attended worship services and Bible study classes at Montage Creek, where he spent his final years.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Floyde of Montrose; his son, Dana (LuAnn) Codd of Long Valley, New Jersey; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Crippin Funeral Home in Montrose. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
Bill's legacy of joy and integrity will live on through those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

Bill was a good friend. We feel an empty space in our hearts with his passing. We are better people for knowing him these past years. We thank him for his friendship and presence in our lives.

Bill and Beverly were a fixture in the Otter Pond neighborhood in Montrose for many years. Often opening their home to neighbors as well as Bill's wood working workshop where he and my son built birdhouses among other projects he involved himself in. His email missives on life and politics were welcomed morning reading. He leaves a legacy for sure.

It was an honor and privilege to share part of my life at Montage with a man of such integrity.
A sweet memory of mine is Bill and Bingo. At Montage, Bingo is a coveted activity and one that must be set up and start on time! Bill took that on that challenge and never disappointed!! No one will fill those shoes!!!
