Steve Bailey Obituary
February 27, 1944 - December 26, 2023
Steve Michael Bailey, 79, of Mooresville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Atrium Health, Charlotte. He was born February 27, 1944, in Mooresville, to the late Ray Darbert Bailey and Lois Eveon Brackett Bailey. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Gary Bailey. Steve was in the Athletic Maintenance Department at Davidson College. He enjoyed yard work, watching old westerns on the television, and walking. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia Baxter Bailey; son, Terry Bailey; sister, Dianne Bailey Hager, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, December 29, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery, Cornelius.
