Tommie Shatterly Obituary
Tommie was known for her golden heart, always ready to assist those in need. Her warmth and generous spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Beyond her professional achievements, she had a passion for sewing, arts and crafts, and gardening. Her green thumb brought beauty to her surroundings, just as her presence did. Tommie also cherished the simple joy of rides, particularly during the festive seasons, and loved local events like motorcycle rallies and car shows.
A proud graduate of Morgan County High School in 1955, Tommie's educational background laid a strong foundation for her personal and professional life.
She leaves behind a loving family: her daughter, Donna Duncan; sisters Betty Mullins, Jean Washam, Norma Shatterly, Kittie Mayfield, Connie Malone; and brother, Donald Shatterly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gurney R. Shatterly Sr. and Mattie E. Shatterly, and her brothers Bob, Rex, Ronnie, and Harry Shatterly.
A celebration of life service will be held at Brownwood Baptist Church, 1521 Thankful Rd., Madison, GA, with Anthony Cottrell officiating, where family, friends, and acquaintances will gather to honor Tommie's remarkable life and legacy.

Tommie was a kind, sweet, mother like figure to me. Always welcoming me into her home as a teenager , through all the years of her life. She always included me as a family member, just as if I was her daughter. Sending healing prayers for her family and especially her daughter Donna. Please hold her in your heart and prayers.
