Shirley Bondi Obituary

Shirley Sue Bondi (née Harris), age 62, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025. A longtime resident of Morgan Hill, California, she most recently resided in Woodland, California and passed peacefully following a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Born on December 4, 1962, in Watsonville, CA, Shirley was the beloved daughter of Paul "Bud" Harris and Nancy Harris. Shirley married the love of her life, Joseph (Joe) Bondi. They shared 47 exciting years together and raised five daughters. Shirley was a devoted and proud mother and grandmother to nine.

Shirley served in the US Army and worked in the semiconductor and customer service industries while raising a family. Driven by her passion for the outdoors, Shirley returned to school later in life and earned a certificate in Park Management from West Valley College. There, she found kindred spirits who shared her deep connection to nature and adventure. Some of her greatest joys came from camping with her girls and their friends, hiking and backpacking, and spending quiet moments in nature where she felt most at peace.

Above all, Shirley cherished time with her family and friends, whether it was a long conversation at the kitchen table, cheering on her grandchildren, or simply being present in everyday moments. She had a remarkable way of making others feel valued and cared for.

Shirley is survived by her devoted husband Joe; their daughters, Jennifer Sabri (Nathan), Samantha Beier (Andrew), Jessica Mazotti (Zachary), Alexandria Bondi-Taylor (Derrick), and Rachel Bondi; and her nine beloved grandchildren. She is also survived by her parents, Paul and Nancy Harris, and her sisters, Diane Barnes and Karen Matthews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Harris, whose memory she held close throughout her life.

Shirley brought warmth and joy to all who knew her, and her spirit will be deeply missed. She embraced many roles throughout her life and carried each with grace, humor, and an unwavering devotion to the people she loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held in spring 2026 to honor Shirley's beautiful legacy. For more information about the celebration, please contact her daughters at: [email protected].
