Betty Pauline Evans Dobson NEBO Mrs. Betty Pauline Evans Dobson, 79, of Nebo, went home to be with her Lord Monday, July 29, 2013. A native of McDowell County, Betty was born Dec. 31, 1933 and was a daughter of the late Samuel Levi Evans and Ollie Gibson Evans. She was a member of First Baptist Church, of Nebo, where she taught a Sunday school class. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Preceding Betty in death was a son, Joey Tim Dobson. Saddened by the loss of Mrs. Dobson is her husband of 60 years, Tim Dobson, of the home; three children, Sherry Hollifield and husband, Bobby, Frankie Craig and husband, Beary and Sammy Dobson, all of Nebo; two brothers, Ray Evans, of Marion and Jerry Evans and wife, Gail, of Florida; three sisters, Gladys Darcus, of Black Mountain, Jean Pyatt, of Rutherfordton and Pearl Huffman, of Asheboro; 11 grandchildren, April and husband, Brian, Jason, Kellie, Lacey and husband, Anthony, Jasmine and husband, Danny, Justin, Megan, Tim, Haley, Matt and Katie; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Averie. A funeral service will be held today (Wednesday, July 31), at 3 p.m., at First Baptist Church, of Nebo, with the Rev. Doug Worley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., prior to the service, at the church. Interment will be in First Baptist Church of Nebo Cemetery.
