Dawn Marie Donahue Michaud, 78, of Sanford, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025, at her home.
She was born in Clarkesville, Tenn., on September 16, 1946, to Dr. Dennis R. Donahue and Ella Marie Ball Donahue.
She was lovingly known to her family as Mom, Grandmom, Grandma Dawn, and even "Cookie" by her father and brother.
She moved to Sanford in 1973, and was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church since that time. She especially loved cooking, playing bridge, all kinds of knitting, and spending time with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 25 years, Robert E. Michaud; sons, Benjamin Little (Rebecca), Jason Little (Alison), Patrick Little (Abby Spann); daughters, Pamela Chesnutt and Cinthia Willford (Brian); grandchildren, Jordynn Little, Joshua Baldwin, Matthew Little, Kylie Baldwin, Liam Baldwin, Ryan Little, Scott Chesnutt, Brandon Chesnutt (Allison), Faith Chesnutt, Eli Williford, and Annabelle Williford; brother, Dennis D. Donahue (Cindy).
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepson, Bobby Michaud.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Miller Boles Funeral Home, 1150 Fire Tower Road, Sanford, N.C. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 2916 Wicker Street, Sanford, NC 27330 and burial will follow for the family at Buffalo Cemetery.
