Gregory A. Lovelace MORGANTON Mr. Gregory Allen Lovelace, 43, of Morganton, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at his residence after a brief illness. Mr. Lovelace was born Oct. 2, 1969, in Watauga County, a son of William "Bill" Lovelace, of Valdese, and Brenda Deal Carswell, of Morganton. Gregory was a graduate of East Burke High School, a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and a former employee of the furniture manufacturing industry. Surviving are his daughter, Makaley Shea Lovelace, of Morganton; wife, Chanda Huffman Lovelace, of the home; a stepson, Dylan Brittain, of Morganton; parents, William "Bill" and Phyllis Lovelace, of Valdese, and Brenda D. and Johnnie Carswell, of Morganton; a sister, Kimberly Cook and husband, Jonathan, of Morganton; and grandparents, Donald Deal, of Morganton, and Thelma Deal, of Lenoir. Also surviving are his nieces and nephew, Temple, Tory and David Cook; and in-laws, Danny and Linda Huffman, of Morganton. Funeral Service for Gregory Allen Lovelace will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, with the Rev. Bud Jernigan officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Larry Cline officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese. Memorials may be made to the family for the care of his daughter, 107 Drexel Rd., Morgan-ton, NC 28655.
