Jimmy Rogers Jr., 92, went to his Lord and Savior Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022.
Born June 9, 1930, he was the son of the late James and Florence Rogers. Jimmy was a faithful member of Silver Creek Baptist Church. He worked at Drexel Furniture, Century Chair, and Henredon Furniture. Jimmy enjoyed fishing. He was a loving family man.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 73 years, Virginia Ruth Rogers; sons, Tim Rogers, James E. Rogers (Patsy); daughter-in-law, Sharon Rogers; daughters, Carolyn Garrison, Margaret Phillips (Jimmy); five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Stanley Rogers.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his son, Jerry W. Rogers; three brothers; five sisters; and three grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22, at Silver Creek Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 12 p.m., in the church, with the Rev. Larry Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
