Linda Huffman Obituary
Linda Faye Childers Huffman, 81, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at her residence after a period of declining health.
Linda Huffman was born October 5, 1944, in Burke County, a daughter of the late Clarence and Faye Lail Childers. She retired as a CNA in the Healthcare industry and she loved helping with the Samaritan Purse Shoebox Drive each year.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arvin Childers, and the father of her son, Leonard Franklin.
Surviving are her two daughters, Terri Childres and Mandy Lucus of Connelly Springs, a son, Ronnie Franklin (Teresa) of Connelly Springs; two brothers, Berl Childers of Dudley Shoals, Bill Childers of Florence, S.C.; a sister, Martha Hildebrand (Larry) of Connelly Springs, and the father of her daughters, Terry Wayne Huffman. Also surviving are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 4 p.m. Monday February 16, 2026, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, with Rev. Devin Hildebrand officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Service.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Samaritan Purse Shoebox Ministries.
