Ronald Edward Brittain

Ronald Edward Brittain, 56, of Newton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at Atrium Health Cleveland.
He was born June 2, 1965, in Catawba County, to the late Ronald Stephen Brittain and to Mary Ann Tucker Strickland of Lincolnton. Ronald was employed in the trucking industry and a member of the American Poolplayers Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing video games with his kids.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Cynthia Stephens Brittain of the home; daughters, Ashley Rashelle Brittain Wilcox and husband, Nicholas, of Asheville, Savanna Lea Brittain of Newton, Dana Stephens Corpening of Newton; mother, Mary Ann Tucker Strickland of Lincolnton; sister, Tina Brittain Calloway and husband, Richie, of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Caitlyn and Ariana Corpening.
A service to celebrate Ronald's life will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, in Newton. The Rev. Wayne Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow at Saint Pauls Memorial Park in Newton. The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m., at the funeral home, prior to the service. Those serving as pallbearers are Justin Deal, Wade Stephens, Dale Ray, Jeff Woodward, David Stephens, and Louis Fanzo.
