Velma seemed to be one of the happiest persons I've ever known. As the dietician/manager of the school cafeteria Valdese, she performed greatly, assuring that we had good food for lunch for many years. No one could make peanut butter cookies as well as she. Many folks will miss her. I offer my condolences to her family.

There was no one sweeter than Mrs. Queen. In the mornings, as I made my way to the door after the night shift, she would stand at her doorway as I passed and always smile and say,"Good Morning, is the coffee on?" I would give her a hug and assure her the coffee was on it's way. I'll miss her very much.

I wish to express my heartfelt sympathy in your time of great sorrow. Only those who have lost a loved one can know the depth of your feelings. I have experienced the death of my parents, a child and my grandparents. I know how difficult these times can be for those left behind.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you. God bless you and your family during this difficult time and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
