Alan Obbey Obituary

LORAIN – Alan L. Obbey, age 73 and a life resident of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
Alan was born in Lorain, May 29, 1942, to the late Allen Obbey and Virginia Lechner. He was a 1960 graduate of Lorain High School. In the past, for many years Alan was a supervisor/manager at the former K-Mart on State Route 57, Lorain. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his brothers Elliott G. (Kim) Obbey of Amherst and Brian "Scott" Obbey of Elyria, nephews Brian Obbey, Jordan Obbey, Alex Obbey, and Darrell Obbey Jr., and nieces Jamie Lee and Heather Obbey.
In addition to his parents, Alan was preceded in death by his brother Darrell R. Obbey.
Graveside service 1 p.m., Thursday, at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, Amherst, entrusted with arrangements.

Dear Mokey Kim and boys. We are so sorry to hear about Alan's passing. We don't receive the journal anymore so we didn't know. Ben is in Rome for the weekend (working in Brussels) and just texted us or we wouldn't have known. We just wanted to send our deepest sympathies.

I remember you very well when you were visiting your grandmother Ann Lechner at Anchor Lodge, that is where I worked at that time, and a small world u were in band with my mom, and grade school with my dad. Rest in Peace.
