Elisabeth Wajand Obituary
Born March 4, 1926 in Yugoslavia, she came to Lorain in 1955.
Elisabeth started working in the housekeeping department then in central supply at St. Joseph Hospital, Lorain, and retired in 1988 after 33 years of service.
She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lorain.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved flowers.
Surviving is her son Jakob (Joni) of Glendale, Arizona; daughters, Elisabeth "Liz" Miller and Heidi (Randy) Tucker both of Lorain; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jakob in 2007; her parents, Stefan and Katharina (nee Ernst) Partz: and a sister, Katharina Lehning in 2000.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Rev. Jimmy Madsen, pastor of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lorain, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Contributions can be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church Rebuilding Fund, 603 Washington Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052.

Liz & Jacob so sorry to read your Mom has passed. RIP... Mom ,Dad grandma & papa were a great neighbors even though you lived on the next street over from us. Remember the days when you first bought the home seems like yesterday. take care .
