Gary F. Miller, 88, of Vermilion, died Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a brief illness.He was born August 5, 1933 in Sharon, PA and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 39 years moving from Elyria.Gary was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean War.He graduated from Sharon High School and worked as a Manufacturers Represenitive/Salesman for 37 years, retiring in 2003. Gary started his career with GW Smith and Chem-Trend before starting GF Miller and Associates in 1983.He was a member of the Vermilion Evangelical & Reformed Church, American Legion Post #397, Amvets Post #22, Elks and Eagles. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and he was an avid reader. He especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren.He is survived by his sons, Eric (Pamela) Miller of Lorain and Bret (Kristine) Miller of Clarkston, MI; daughter, Sheri (Scott) Swartz of Rocky River; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Andy) Smith, Stephanie (Vinny) Vuichard, Sam Swartz, Jane (Steve) Famiano, Anne Swartz, and Charlie Swartz; great grandchildren, Chandler, Jack, and Collins Smith, Olivia Vuichard, and June Famiano; and his brother, Dale (Carole) Miller of Mt. Joy, PA.He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna M. Miller in 2007 and his parents, Floyd and Irene (nee Barrett) Miller.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022 from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.The Reverend Nic. Cacciatore will officiate. Services will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/riddlefh.
