Gold Star Mother Lula (Lulu) Hall (nee Hamilton) has gone to our eternal home with the Lord and is now reunited with her baby boy, United States Marine Lance Corporal David R. Hall (KIA Afghanistan, Aug. 31, 2009). She was the youngest of 12 blessed children born to Theodore and Arizona Hamilton in Harold, Kentucky.She gave her life to the Lord and was baptized at the First Baptist Church of New London on December 18, 1973. She devoted her entire life to her family. Together with her childhood sweetheart and beloved husband of 53 years, Delmar (Del) Hall, she loved and nurtured five children and 12 grandchildren. She loved to travel and vacation with her husband and entire family both nationally and abroad, having spent many, unforgettable vacations in
Myrtle Beach, SC;
Virginia Beach, VA;
Daytona Beach, Florida;
Palm Springs, CA; Reno and
Las Vegas, NV; Cancun, Mexico; and Niagara Falls, Canada, just to name a few. She was an avid sports fan and spent much of her time supporting her kids and grandkids in nearly every sporting event they participated in from pee wee to college. She never missed a game that her kids played in while in junior high and high school, from volleyball, to basketball, to softball, to football. She was also a loyal fan of all Ohio sports teams. Additionally, she especially enjoyed Hallmark and Lifetime movies focused on God, love and family.She is survived by her loving husband, Del Hall; Daughters- Terasa (Tracy) Holmes, Lora Hall, and Wendy Hall; Son- Jean Fenelus; Grandchildren- Brandon Holmes, Trey Knowles, Darien Knowles, Xavier Holmes, Udell Holmes III, Devin Holmes, Kyle Dull, Zachary Dull, Katherine Dull, Genevieve White, and Taij Fenelus; Sisters- Verbal Hamilton, Sola (husband Enoch) Collier, and Viola (husband Danny) Adkins.She was preceded in death by her son, United States Marine Lance Corporal David Hall; Granddaughter- Angel Holmes; Father & Mother- Theodore and Arizona Hamilton; Sisters- Lovel (husband Carmel) Osborne, Vernona (husband Denver) Scalf, and Virginia (husband Tommy) Scalf; Brothers- Arthur (wife Mag) Hamilton; Cecil (wife Veronica) Hamilton; and Gene Hamilton.Please join Lulu's family for her visitation, Celebration of Life Service, and/or Luncheon Reception as they thank God for the blessings that she has been to each of us and the world for the nearly 72 years that she has been with us.All events will take place at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center located at 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road in
Amherst, Ohio 44001.Her visitation will take place on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Her Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 1 pm. Her Luncheon Reception will take place immediately following her Celebration of Life Service at 2 pm, and will include wonderful food, desserts, drinks, and companionship.Online condolences may be left for the family at
