Ricky Miller Obituary

Ricky (Richard Baldo) Miller, age 43 of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017.
He was born on January 27, 1974 in Lorain.
Ricky graduated from Lorain Catholic High School in 1992 where he academically and athletically excelled especially in football as All State Quarterback. He continued his athletic career as a quarterback at Gannon University in Erie, PA.
Ricky was loved and adored by his children Logan and Sydney, who along with Jennifer enjoyed family time having bonfires and riding roller coasters at Cedar Point. Ricky enjoyed golfing, bowling, dancing, country music, his family and a wealth of friends. His smile would light up a room. He was a thoughtful and a gentle voice when a friend was in need. Ricky was a kind and thoughtful person who was admired and loved by all who knew him.
Ricky was a Master Craftsman whose work filled countless homes and businesses throughout Lorain County. He was a cabinet maker, furniture maker and had a special talent to look at a space and convert it to his customer's wishes. He was the hardest worker.
Ricky was a true patriot and loved America. As he was so caring and thoughtful to everyone in his life, as he passed he continued to care for others as a Life Bank donor who has informed his family he will help over 80 people.
Ricky is survived by his fiancée Jennifer Reffner and their children Logan and Sydney Miller; father Rick (Sue) Miller, of Wakeman; and mother Carol Campana, of Lorain; brother, Jay J (Ellie) Miller; and nephews Cole and Brady of Annapolis, Maryland; grandmother, Mary Campana; and godmother, Aunt Cindy and Uncle Paul Elkins, his uncles and aunts and many cousins who all loved him so very dearly.
Ricky was preceded in death by grandfather Baldo Campana; godfather Thomas Campana; and grandparents Jim Miller and Aileen Kyser.
The family will receive friends on Monday October 23rd from 3:00 to 8:00 pm in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. (Everyone please meet at church). Rev. Fr. Just now read of Rick's passing, saw it while looking for old friends on FB....... So sad to learn of it, I worked with him and Jay years ago, doing trim carpentry with them. Rick was an exceptional young man, of upstanding character, poise and dignity. Honest and faithful to his friends and family. My sincere condolences, Jay, to you and the rest of his wonderful family and friends. I'm very saddened to learn of his passing. RIP Rick Miller.
