TW here......also known as Thomas Allen Wisnieski. I came into the world at Lorain's St. Joseph's Hospital on December 15, 1949. My parents, Kenneth and Gladys (nee Jungbluth), were there, but my 4 sisters, Beverly Essex (Canon City, CO); Alice Fannin (deceased); Ruth Rodriguez, Elyria; and Virginia Boone (deceased); and brother Gary (Durham, NC) all came after me.Growing up in Sheffield, I enjoyed playing ball in the backyard with our neighbors, the Altens, which led to Little League. I liked to hunt, trap, target shoot and join my cousins in 4-H activities (thanks, Aunt Gladys Mackert, deceased). In the winter, I would ride with my Dad on Dairymen's milk truck and in summer, I delivered Charles Chips with him.The Notre Dame nuns at St. Teresa's Catholic School survived me the first 8 years of my education. I went on to challenge teachers at Brookside HS and did get a piece of paper in 1968!For over 10 years, I rode my bike to work with my cousins at DeChant's Greenhouse, where they treated us like family. Besides the 50 cents an hour pay, we'd love to strawberry pick for 35 cents a basket! Loved the outdoors, which possibly led to later years of fun volksmarching with the Valley Vagabonds Walking Club. From 1970 - 93, I was part owner/crew chief/mechanic of a #500 stock car, gracing race tracks at Lorain County Speedway and Oswego, NY, to name just two. Good years and lasting friendships.Young and immature teens, Bev Klun (Holden) and I managed a couple good years together. Not only did I have the pleasure of a 43 year machinist career at Elyria Manufacturing Company, but I met and fell in love with Joyce Hardwick there and was blessed with 11 years of marriage before cancer took her from me in 1988.My love of tools led me to memberships in the Ohio Tool (OTA) and MidWest Tool (MWTA) Associations. I've managed to collect quite a few treasures along the way, including woodturned items from pros and friends of the North Coast Woodturners, where I was a proud Member-at-Large. My appreciation of antiques led me to many Amish auctions and the good fortune to work for Martin J. Donnelly Auctions the last few years....which no doubt greatly contributed to my collection! I've also enjoyed golfing and lawn bowling at Lake Erie the last few years. Good people!Well, it's September 12, 2021. I've done some things in my life I'd like to change, but it's too late now. Major heart complications have done me in, but I give credit to my heart doctors for keeping me around an extra 8 months! Donations in my name may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Teresa's Church, Abbe Rd., Sheffield, OH.Thanks to my caregivers, caring friends and family.Checkin' out now.Love, TWWith health concerns for family and friends, no services will be held at this time. So sad to see you've left us Tom. Joyce, Ginny and Alice will be overjoyed to see you. You were always a sweet, unassuming and lovely man, so nice to me as I became a member of your family. The world loses by your departure but heaven gains one of our best. Rest in peace Tom, rest in peace.

Rest In Peace Tom. Glad to have known you from the Woodturning club. Always had a smile on your face. Only guy I knew that would take the back doors off his little car to fit some bigger antiques in to get them home.

Sorry to hear about Tom. I knew Tom from the turning club and also was a old tool collector. we shared some good times talking about our collections. I reached out to Tom in the last few weeks to see if he needed any help with a toolbox that he was making and he said he was doing OK. I was also looking forward to driving him around for the Lagrange engine show at the Lorain county fair grounds. Our other friend Robert Wilburn had talked to him and said that Tom was looking forward to going and it was the following week that we heard about Tom. Please let me know if I can help with anything, Jim Shuster 440-322-1676.

My condolences to Tom's family. Tom was a great guy with whom I only had known for a few years. I remember him as being calm, cool, and collected with a good sense of humor and of course, that moustache. His biographical obit was a great read. RIP, Buddy.
