Toni Lorraine Klima

1948 - 2018

Toni Lorraine Klima (nee: Novinger), 70 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018, at the Cleveland Clinic following a lengthy illness.
Toni was born April 23, 1948, in South Amherst where she was raised before moving to Lorain where she graduated from Lorain High School.
Toni was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She took pride in her work at home by keeping a clean house, cooking, and baking. She especially enjoyed sewing for her grandchildren. Toni kept the landscape tidy at their home and their rental property. She worked at Anchor Lodge for 6 years in the transportation department and also as a dietary aid for the Lorain School System. She was a member of the former First Congregational United Church of Christ of Lorain.
She leaves to cherish her memory her high school sweetheart and husband of forty-nine years, Donald John Klima; her sons, Brian Klima of Lorain; and Adam (Maria) Klima of Goodyear, AZ; her grandchildren, Abby Klima, Michael Klima, and David Klima; her brother, Jim Novinger; and her sisters, Pat and Bruce Diso, and Amy and Bruce Bozsoki both of Lorain.
Toni was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lillian Novinger.
Friends may call Thursday, May 31, 2018, from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. The Rev. Brian Burke, pastor of Community Congregational Church of Christ, Amherst, OH will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township, Ohio.
