Harold Reihl Obituary
April 29, 1951-May 7, 2012
Harold Reihl; age 61; of Beal City; passed away Monday, May 7, 2012, at home with his family by his side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Beal City with Father Patrick Jankowiak presiding. The family will receive friends at the gathering room of the church on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday one hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the church or at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Harold was born April 29, 1951, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the late Joseph N. and Martha T. (Faber) Reihl. He graduated from Beal City High School in 1969 and attended Ferris State College. He married the love of his life, Peggy Pohl on October 9, 1971, at St. Joseph the Worker Church. After high school Harold worked for Straus Processing in Weidman and McConnell Freezer Pack in Clare as a butcher/meat cutter. He then went on to work and eventually to manage the meat department at Farmer Jacks and ultimately manage the entire store. He moved to Brighton in 1997 where he managed CVS Pharmacy. He returned to Beal City in 2011.
Harold was very active in the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Beal City Council 3651 and was a charter member of the Brighton Council 12295. Harold is survived by his wife, Peggy of Beal City; two sons, Nicholas (Kristy) Reihl of Alma and Joshua (Angela) Reihl of Rosebush; seven grandchildren, Ryan Anderson, MacKenzie Nemeth, Hailey Nemeth, Alida Reihl, Benjamin Reihl, Hannah Shaner and Peyton Reihl; six siblings, Rose (Jim) Sheahan of Lake, Vera (Ron) Bollman of Mt. Pleasant, Howard Reihl of Lake, Edward (Annette) Reihl of Lake, Helen Reihl of Lake, and Joseph Reihl of Weidman; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful lab, Gus. Harold always gave us his best as a student, as an athlete, as a family man,and as a community member. What made him "Super Aggie" was not the cape and tights, but his friendly personality and the strength of his character. My condolences to all his family.

Harold, sorry to hear you left us so early in your life. You must be in a better place than here now. Sure had great times participating in football, basketball, and track at Beal City HS and the other fun times we've had while there; and at our last HS reunion in 2009. My condolences to the Reihl family specially to our classmate Peggy. Our thoughts and prayers are for you Peggy and for your family to overcome these difficult times. Your classmate.
