It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, Anita Lynes Middleton, who went to be with the Lord on September 16th, 2025, at the age of 91.
Born on January 29, 1934 in Morris, Illinois, Anita lived a life full of kindness, resilience and devotion to her family. She was the heart of our family, always welcoming everyone with open arms, a warm meal, and words of encouragement.
Anita, together with her late husband Earl "Sonny" Lynes, built a family rooted in love, faith, and togetherness. She was a proud mother of Lana and Dana Morse; cherished grandmother to Shane and Jennifer Shannon, Brett and Tina Shannon, Timothy and Ashley Shannon, and Drew Morse; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, with the second arriving any day now. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her wisdom, and her unwavering love. Whether through her delicious cooking, the years she spent as an in-home caretaker, her stories that carried lessons, or the way she always made everyone feel special, she left an imprint on every life she touched.
Anita is preceded in death by Earl Lynes and Charles Middleton; and she was the last of her five Schaible siblings. Though our hearts ache, we are comforted knowing she is reunited with loved ones and watching over us with the same love she gave in life. Her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
Services will be held at Hardage-Giddens St Johns Chapel, 1285 St. Johns Parkway, St Johns, FL 32259, 904-342-1011.
