Demaris A. Morris, age 87, of Yorkville, IL, formerly of Morris, IL, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born on July 30, 1934 in Phil Campbell, AL the daughter of Thomas and Lola (Trapp) Morgan.
She is survived by her children, Lola (Mark) Nichols of Yorkville, IL, Gary (Julie) Morris of Margate, FL, Jeffrey Morris of Murphy, NC, and Deborah (Robert) Eich of Dwight, IL; her step-daughter, Linda (Harold) Isbel of Bethel Springs, TN; her 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; her brother, Wyman Morgan of New Jersey; her sister, Cozette Hardy of Russellville, AL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lola Morgan; her husband, Garland Morris; her sister, Barbara Anderson; and her brother, Hugh Morgan.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N. Bridge St., Yorkville, IL. Interment will follow in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
Friends may visit from 9:00 AM until the Hour of Service on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.

My sincerest condolences to the family. Demaris was such a sweet lady and I always enjoyed chatting with her when she dropped off the baby bonnets she made for the newborns at Morris Hospital.
