Rita Youskevtch (nee Krull)
Age 87, of Braceville, IL, passed away peacefully March 15, 2021 at her home following an 11 year battle with dementia. Born March 7, 1934 in Central City, IL to the late George and Elsie (nee Kociss) Krull. Rita married John Joseph Youskevtch on November 14, 1953. Lifetime member of the Assumption Catholic Church and Alter Rosary Society in Coal City. Rita was employed at Braceville Grade School for over 25 years. She also helped the Martha's at funeral luncheons and also at the Knights of Columbus fish fry's in Braidwood. She loved crocheting, reading, and gardening. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia (Michael) Trofimchuck of Braceville and Kathleen (Scott) Veronda of Coal City; four grandchildren, John (Lucia) Trofimchuck, Christine Trofimchuck, David (Holly) Veronda, and Michael Veronda; four great grandchildren, Katherine Veronda, Kaylee Veronda, Jacob Veronda, and Renee Trofimchuck. The family would like to thank Rita's multiple caregivers and two special hospice nurses, Rohnda and Shanna. Preceded in death by her husband, John; and granddaughter, Mary Veronda. Visitation will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, March 19 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in South Wilmington. Interment will be private in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Attendees are required to wear face coverings, follow social distancing guidelines, due to the capacity requirements please be brief with your condolences to allow other guests to pay their final respects. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in her name may be directed to St. Lawrence Catholic Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice.
