Alyce M. Kalahar

Alyce M. Kalahar, 87-year-old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the Pierz Villa in Pierz, MN.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Faith Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will take place in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. A visitation will be held from 10-11 A.M. on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Faith Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Caring for Alyce and her family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN.

Alyce Marie Nelson was born on August 21, 1937 in Little Falls, MN to the late Carl and Mildred (Larsen) Nelson. She was a 1955 graduate of Little Falls High School. On July 30, 1955, she was united in marriage to Keeven Kalahar at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Alyce worked at Camp Ripley from 1955 to 1958. In 1970, after raising their family, she returned to work at the Little Falls Community Middle School, retiring in May of 1999. In her spare time, she loved reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Alyce is survived by her husband of 69 years, Keeven Kalahar; daughters, Cindy Kalahar of Little Falls, MN and Carol Rae Kalahar of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Sara (Justin) Gau-Then and Ryan (Maisie) Gau; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Stromquist of Silver Bay, MN and Joyce (Herb) Beckman of Willmar, MN; sister-in-law, Mary Kalahar.

Alyce was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mildred Nelson; daughter, Cheryl Gau and sister, Vivian Oothoudt.

Memorials preferred directly to Faith Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN.
