Arnold "Arnie" Nouis

Arnie Nouis passed away on Oct. 15, 2025 in Surprise, AZ. He was 88 years old.

Arnie was a long time resident of Coon Rapids until 2001 when he moved to Flagstaff, AZ. He resided there for a few years, then moved to Goodyear, AZ.

Arnie worked at Cummins in Fridley (formerly Onans) for the majority of his working years. He retired from there right at the time of the move to Flagstaff. Arnie always wanted to live in a mountain town and he enjoyed that atmosphere. He did a lot of hiking and exploring while there. He was always busy and took on construction of a couple of houses with a partner.

Arnie was born in Two Rivers Township to Steve and Mary (Habas) Nouis. He was the youngest of eight siblings. He served in the Army and was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany in the late 50s.

Arnie married Cecile Runquist at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Upsala. They were married 59 years at the time of Arnie's death.

Cecile survives him along with his children and grandchildren, Nancy and Andy Gilbert, Kyle and Christopher and Ryan and Rachel Nouis, Evan and Claire.

There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
