Donald Blaisdell Obituary
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 2:00-6:00 P.M., at the Swanville Lions Park in Swanville, MN. Burial will be held at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls on February 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family. Caring for Donald and his family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls.
Donald William Blaisdell was born on August 23, 1936, to the late William and Marie (Begordis) Blaisdell in Morrill Township, MN. He attended grade school at the County School #113 in Ramey, MN. Donald enlisted in the US Army on November 9, 1954, and served 2 years until his honorable discharge in 1956. When he returned, he did various road construction jobs across the United States. Donald was united in marriage to Theresa "Terri" Schultz on June 7, 1996, in Little Falls. In his free time, he enjoyed playing horseshoes, fishing, driving his Cub Cadet tractor, trips to the casino, scratchies, classic country music, western movies, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Donald's proudest moments in his life were when his daughter Nicole was born, adopting his son Kayden, and his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Donald is survived by his wife, Terri, of 29 years; daughter, Nicole Blaisdell; son, Kayden Blaisdell; grandchildren, Jordyn and Koda Blaisdell; brother, Jim (Linda) Blaisdell; sisters, Mary Jo Laurent, Margie (Chuck) Wolf, Barb "Babs" Funk, and Birdie (David) Kuschel; brothers-in-law, Rick (Denise) Schultz, Doug (Paula) Schultz, and Dennis (Sara) Schultz; sisters-in-law, Judi Fredrick, Chari (Rodney) Rudolph, and Tina (Scott) Eggerth; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie; siblings, Jerry, Richard, Edward, and William; sister-in-law, Arlene Blaisdell; brothers-in-law, Alvin Funk and Al Laurent; the mother-in-law, Mercedes Schultz; father-in-law, David Schultz; sister-in-law, Gayla Kroll; and brother-in-law, John Fredrick.
