Donna Andres

1936 - 2025

Donna M. Andres, 89, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, in Brainerd, Minnesota.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Randall, Minnesota. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the chapel. A luncheon will follow at St. James Catholic Church in Randall.

Donna was born on March 15, 1936, to George and Mary (Katterhagen) Gaffke in Browerville, Minnesota. She was a woman who took great pride and joy in the simple things that made a house a home. Donna loved tending to her garden, cooking and baking-especially her cherished apple pies-and keeping a welcoming and comfortable home for her family. Time spent with family and friends was what she treasured most.

She is survived by her children: Katherine (John) Scepurek of Jacksonville, NC, Gary (Cheryl) Andres of Fort Ripley, MN, Alan (Peggy) Andres of Otsego, MN, Susan (Don) Hanninen of Chaska, MN, Don (Jody) Andres of Baxter, MN, and Peggy (Greg) Geyerman of Lakeville, MN. Donna leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, her brother Bernard Gaffke and many nieces and nephews, all of whom brought her tremendous joy.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Andres; her siblings, Mary Ann Drew, Gerald Gaffke, Gene Gaffke, Sherry Andres; and her grandchild, April Scepurek.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Woodland Senior Care in Brainerd. Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Randall.
