John Waldoch Jr.

John Waldoch Jr., 86-year-old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at his home in Sobieski, MN.

Funeral service held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the Living Hope Assembly of God Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Keith Thompson officiating. Burial in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. Visitation held from 9-10:30 A.M. on Thursday at the Living Hope Assembly of God Church in Little Falls, MN. Caring for John and his family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN.

John was born on April 20, 1939, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, Minnesota, to the late John Sr. and Rita (Meyers) Waldoch. He grew up in Little Falls and after graduating from high school, proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served his country honorably from 1959 until 1963, when he was honorably discharged. On August 7, 1964, John was united in marriage to Barbara Moulton. The couple made their home in Little Falls, where they raised their family. John was employed at the Hennepin Paper Mill in Little Falls, dedicating over 33 years of hard work to the mill until its closure. Following that chapter of his life, John returned to school and attended Central Lakes Community College in Brainerd, Minnesota, where he pursued his interest in small gas engines. He found great enjoyment in working as a mechanic, particularly on small engines, a passion he shared with others. In his free time, John loved camping, talking about cars, and spending quality time with his children. He had a deep affection for animals and especially cherished the companionship of his beloved dog. John will be remembered for his kind heart, his strong work ethic, and his devotion to family and friends.

He is survived by loving wife, Barbara Waldoch of Sobieski, MN; children, Kimberlee Waldoch of Randall, MN, Troy Waldoch of Little Falls, MN, and Lisa (Ed) Waldoch of Onamia, MN; siblings, Leonard (Rita) Waldoch of Sauk Centre, MN and Dolores Simmel of Chisago City, MN; grandchildren, Johnathon (Mariela) Scheerle, Brandon Waldoch, Dustin Bollin, Brady Waldoch, and Jordyn Waldoch; great-grandchildren, Axel, Oliver, and Sophia.

John was preceded in death by parents, John and Rita Waldoch and brother, Richard Waldoch.
