Monica A. Schraut

Monica A. Schraut, 73-year-old resident of Royalton, MN, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at her residence with her loving family by her side.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Monticello VFW Post #8731, in Monticello, MN, from 1:00-4:00 PM. Caring for Monica and her family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls.

Monica Ann Arnold was born on April 13, 1952, in Monticello, MN, to the late Vernon and Mary Arnold. She received her Master's Degree in literacy from Hamline University and a Bachelor's Degree in education from Northern Illinois University. Monica was united in marriage on September 24, 2005, to Mark Schraut. She was a reading coach and teacher at New Visions in Minneapolis, MN, and Stride Academy in St. Cloud, MN, where she worked for over 25 years between the two schools. She enjoyed baking, painting, making jewelry, and selling her crafts at craft shows.

Monica is survived by her husband, Mark Schraut of Royalton, MN; daughter, Jennifer (Joshua) Curtis of Big Lake, MN; step-children, Shannon (Jeff) Bromenschenkel of Avon, MN, Shaun (Tonya) Schraut of Little Falls, MN, Sheena Schraut of St. Cloud, MN, Shantel (Wesley) Waytashek of St. Cloud, MN; brother, Thomas Arnold; sister, Patricia Sheets; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Monica was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Mary Arnold; brother-in-law, Morris Sheets; and sister-in-law, Sue Arnold.
