Roy N. Boser

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roy N. Boser, 75-year-old lifelong resident of the Lastrup area, who passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at St. John's Catholic Church in Lastrup, MN with Father Aaron Nett and Deacon Craig Korver officiating. Visitation was held from 4-8 P.M. on Monday, February 2, 2026, and from 9:30-10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, all at the LeMieur Funeral Home in Pierz, MN.

Roy will be remembered as a dedicated family man, a hardworking farmer, and a pillar of his community.

Born and raised in rural Minnesota, Roy dedicated his life to working the land he loved. His strong work ethic and commitment to farming were evident to all who knew him. Beyond his work on the farm, Roy was an active and cherished member of his community. He proudly served as a member of the Knights of Columbus and also found joy as an active member of the Harding/Lastrup SnoDusters snowmobile club. Above all, Roy was a devoted family man. He cherished his roles as a grandfather and great-grandfather, finding immense happiness in spending time with the younger generations of his family and watching them grow.

Roy is survived by his loving family, including his wife Bonnie; children, Cheryl (Bob Knutson) Benjamin, Brenda (Steve) Serie, Karen (Corey) Hayes, Brian (Denise) Boser, Katie (Nick) Hemminger and Curtis (Kaelyn) Boser; siblings, Roger Boser, Ruth (Raymond) Westre, Randy Boser; 14 grandchildren, one great-grandson, many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents Herb and Lorraine Boser, brothers Harry Boser and Ronald Boser.

Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating. On a cold winters day. Hard working hands were put to rest. God broke our hearts and took the best.
