Ruben was a great friend to my dad and mom during our many years living in Buckman. After our dad, Ervin (Stubby) died, Ruben was there for our family in our time of need and was always willing to help out our family. As kids, we loved hanging out at the hardware store, always checking out the new sports equipment he sold in the store and helped to keep the kids in Buckman well supplied with athletic gear. He had a great sense of humor and was so generous with his time. I remember him trying to teach my older brother how to throw a curve ball and I remember the times he and a few other of his friends would gather on the highway in the middle of town to play catch in the lull between cars driving through. Ruben had a great impact on our little town, and our family, and he will not be forgotten.

I think of Rueben and Madeline frequently when I drive by their house just outside of Onamia. They are still remembered. Sorry for your loss.

To Rueben´s children/grandchildren: I was adopted by Alfred and Alice Hoheisel, so we were cousins.
I remember when the Hoheisel/Przybilla clan used to get together on Sundays to play Softball across the road from the Alfred Hoheisel farm. RIP Rueben! You will be missed.
