Greta Hack

Cardington : Greta F. Hack, age 82, of Cardington died Thursday morning, January 28, 2016 in the Marion General Hospital. She was born Feb. 19, 1933 in Henderson, KY to the late William and Hattie M. (Stone) Roberts.

Greta had been a member of the First United Methodist Church, Morrow County Hospital Twig, and the American Auxiliary Unit #97 where she made "care bags' that were given to veterans on holidays and birthdays. She was awarded the American Red Cross Clara Barton Award in 2007 for her volunteerism activities with the Bloodmobile visits.

On October 18, 1952 in Henderson, KY., Greta married William "Bill" Hack, Jr., and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1998.

Greta is survived by her children: Randy and Robbie Hack of Woodbridge, VA., Ronald and Saranna Hack of North Pole, AK., Susan Frysinger of Cardington , and Jeffrey and Karla Hack of Marion; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Greta was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon Roberts and James Roberts, her daughter Linda Hack, and granddaughter Heather (Hack) Rini.

Friends may call Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will take place Monday February 1, 2016 at 1:30pm at the funeral home with Pastor Robert M. Howard officiating. Following the service the burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to either Jenkins-Vaughn Auxiliary Unit #97 or the Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Home of Sandusky.
