Nicole Sizemore

Lauren "Nicole" Sizemore, age 40, of Chesterville, passed away Monday afternoon, November 2, 2015 at the Marion General Hospital, following a lifelong battle with Muscular Dystrophy.

On November 22, 1974, Nicole was born in Mount Gilead, the daughter of Laura E. (Duston) Sizemore and the late Edwin C. Sizemore. She graduated from Highland High School in the Class of 1992.

Nicole enjoyed crossword puzzles, music, especially country, playing solitaire, and reading her People magazine. She also found great joy in sending everyone birthday cards and cards around the holidays.

Nicole did not have any children of her own, but she loved her Nephew, James, and niece, Shelby, as if they were. She had the biggest heart and would help people in any way she was able. Muscular Dystrophy may have limited her body, but she did not let it take away her heart and the love she had for her family and friends.

Nicole will be dearly missed by her mother, Laura, of Chesterville; her sister, Megan (Jason) Michels of Chesterville; her nephew and niece, James and Shelby Michels; maternal grandmother, Eleanor Duston of Chesterville; aunts and uncles: Judy (Dennis) Garverick of Galion, Randy (Pam) Duston of West Minster, CA; numerous cousins; all of her extended family in Shreveport, LA; and her best friends: Brandy Hallett of Chesterville and Brent Robinson of Texas.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Dale Duston; paternal grandparents: Bill and Marie Sizemore; and two aunts: Betty Luker and Gail Smith.

Nicole's family will greet friends from 2 – 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead.
