Marcus Kinderman Obituary
Marcus Paul Kinderman, Mark to all who knew him, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025.
Born to Andrew and Fannie Kinderman in Cleveland, Ohio, Mark grew up enjoying baseball, sports cars (especially Jaguars and Ferraris), and playing the viola. His love for them carried on through his lifetime.
Mark graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Psychology, then enlisted in the Army in 1962. It was at a military officer's dance in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1964 where he met Mary Frances (Frankie) Ingraham. They married soon afterwards, then moved to Lake Arrowhead, California in 1971 where Mark became a supervising probation officer for the San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall division, a position he held for six years. Later, he worked in real estate, and as an agent and sales manager for Prudential in their insurance and financial services departments, retiring in 1996. In early 2004, Mark became a teacher for the physically and mentally handicapped special education students at Rim of the World High School, Lake Gregory Elementary and the Colton Joint Unified School District. In the fall of 2004, he moved to Erikson High School in Van Nuys, CA. to teach special education students with moderate to severe disabilities. In 2008, Mark was hired by the Kayne Eras Center and transferred to the Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk, CA. as the Administrator and Coordinator of IEP, while also working with troubled and delinquent special education students. He retired from teaching and administration in 2010. Mark was especially proud of his work with his special education students and they all affectionately referred to him as "Mr. K". He was known as a people person and had quite the witty personality as well.
Mark and Frankie loved their Dodgers, jazz music, old western and classic movies, and Jaguars. And, no one was allowed to call them at 7:00 pm because they were watching Jeopardy on TV. Mark was also an excellent cook, which he took pride in. He was a very good husband and father to his family.
In his final year, Mark was a resident of the Mountain's Community Hospital's skilled nursing facility. His family gives their sincere gratitude for their excellent care for both Mark and Frankie.
Mark is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Frankie. He is survived by his children, daughter
Michelle Aaron (Craig) of Lake Arrowhead, CA., daughter Annique Ishizaka (Deano) of Riverside, CA., son James Kinderman of Lake Arrowhead, CA, and granddaughter Sydney Aaron of Spring Valley, NV.
A service will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery on October 21, 2025, where he will join his wife. A smaller service will be held on August 23, 2025 at the Mountain's Community Hospital's Rose Garden at 2:00 pm. If desired, please send donations to Mountain's Community Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility at P.O. Box 70, Lake Arrowhead, CA 92352 in memory of Marcus Kinderman.
