Barbara Reehil

BARBARA Reehil SHORTSVILLE - Barbara Reehil died on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at the House of John in Clifton Springs, surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was born on Feb. 1, 1937, to Arthur and Dorothy Millan of Jersey City, N.J., In June, 1956, she married Edward Reehil, her devoted husband of 61 years. Barbara established the Cedar Chest Antiques in Henrietta during the 1970s and later worked for SenDEC Corporation, a company co-founded by her husband Edward in Fairport. She enjoyed sailing with her husband and friends from the Canandaigua Lake Yacht Club and working out at the YMCA in Canandaigua with her friends in the Silver Sneakers. She is survived by her husband, Edward; sister, Carlene Mead (Harold); children, Roy (Patricia), Glen (Karen Trost) and Kim Harrell; grandchildren, Ashley (Joe), Tyler (Beth) and Ethan; and many in her extended family. A memorial service was held at St. John's Episcopal Church in Clifton Springs on September 16. Gifts may be sent to the Canandaigua YMCA or the House of John in Clifton Springs.
