Dale Wyffels Obituary

Dale F. Wyffels Loving son, brother and friend CANANDAIGUA - An angel has just been accepted into heaven. Dale F. Wyffels passed away June 12, 2011, after a long and courageous battle with many challenges. Dale was born May 9, 1952. As a young child, Dale faced many physical adversities but remained strong and happy with a winning smile and with mischievous energy. As he grew older, Dale set out to be a farmer, a profession he proudly worked at for many years. He walked to work daily and was a great help on his Uncle Albert's farm. He loved to drive farm tractors and had a great affection for all the farm animals. When his physical limitations became more oppressive, he was welcomed into the ARC community and was very productive and happy to be a part of the Abbey Industries Work Program. He took the bus faithfully each day and enjoyed working with his many friends. In 2000, Dale moved into the ARC Bloomfield Group Home to live a more independent life. He settled into this wonderful home and was loved by all of his friends and staff. Dale is survived by his mother, Mary Lou; brother, Dave (Gail); nephew, Tim (Barb); and grandniece, Abbye Wyffels; aunts, Peggy Wyffels, Marge Wyffels and Barb (Wyffels) Mack; and many cousins. He is also survived by his many friends at his home in Bloomfield, Danny, Rich, Theresa F., Kathy, Bruce, Richard, Theresa P., Jerrold, Jackie and Julie and all the exceptional and caring staff. He was predeceased by his father, Donald Wyffels; uncles, Richard, Martin, Robert and Albert Wyffels; aunt Betty Wyffels; and grandparents, Martin and Adeline Wyffels and George and Louise Hardiman. There will be no calling hours. Dale's memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church on Wednesday June 15, at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Dale's family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory be directed to ARC, County Road 46, Canandaigua, NY 14424 (Bloomfield House). Dave, the Wyffels Family, and Dale's Family at Bloomfield House:
I was happy to have had a nice conversation with Dale a few years ago at my daughter's graduation party, about how we rode the school bus together. May fond memories of Dale comfort you as well.

To Our Loving friend, Dale and his family; Words cannot express what we are feeling right now, as we have heavy hearts from the loss of our wonderful Dale. Thinking of you all and remembering our special times and all the laughter that Dale brought into our lives. We miss you dear Dale and will be loving you forever and always...all the arm wrestling and the many laughs you gave us constantly. When the music plays, save the best dance for Sarah. We love you always Dale. From your family at the Victor Community Learning Center...Pam, Tracy, Sarah, Pat & Brian and friends.
May the angels always watch over you.

I'm sure Dale is very happy with his family in heaven. God had decided it was time for him to join them. Dale always had such an infectious smile no matter when you saw him. He is probably driving tractor with "Uncle Bertie" again.

To the Wyffels Family:

We can never forget the perpetual smile, and wonderful sense of humor Dale had throughout his entire life. No matter what challenges he faced, he took it all in stride and never let things get the better of him. Dale was one of those people you could call a "friend" as he would do anythng, for anyone.

Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

With fond memories......
