James W. Cremeans

James W. Cremeans Beloved husband, father, grandfather and uncle CANANDAIGUA - James W. Cremeans, age 69, of Route 21 South, died Monday, April 12, 2010, at F.F. Thompson Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Gayle (Barnum) Cremeans; two daughters, Angelina (Cremeans) Norton and Katie Cremeans, both of Canandaigua; two sons, James Cremeans and Parrish Cremeans, both of California; three grandchildren, R.J., Reese and Anna; brother, John (Karen) Cremeans of Canandaigua; sister, Alexis Hudekoff of California; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his son, Matt Cremeans. Jim owned and operated Cremeans Interstate Appraisal Service in Canandaigua. He was a member and usher at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church and a 35-year member of the Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department. Jim enjoyed auto racing, hunting, fishing and riding snowmobiles. He lived in California in his early years, where he worked as a barber and an auto mechanic. Jim also raced cars in California. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. His funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church, 3360 Middle Cheshire Road, Canandaigua. Interment will be in Pine Bank Cemetery, Cheshire.
