Margaret Harris

Margaret (Johnston) Harris Margaret "Margie" (Day Johnston) Harris died peacefully in her sleep on July 23, 2010, at age 91. She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Day Wilcox; brother, John P. Day Jr.; and husbands, William Carroll Johnston and Joseph Harris. She is survived by her children, William C. Johnston Jr. of Atlantic Beach, N.C. and Rushville, Linda J. Harris (John Dirga) of Rochester and Ft. Myers, Fla., Laurie J. Colombo (Edward) of Victor and Sally "Petie" J. Radicchi (Joseph) of Cape Coral, Fla.; and two stepsons, Dr. J. Peter Harris (Jan) of Rochester and Carroll "Sandy" B. Harris (Dee) of Cape Coral. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Robert P. and Michael C. Harris, Erik G. and Kristen C. Wiig and Russell D. Vail; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jeffrey, Brett, Ashley, Noah, Piper and Casey Harris, David and Wayne Colombo, John Dirga, Elizabeth Reed, Mark Radicchi and Jennifer Hensel; great-grandsons, Reid, Seth and Blake Harris and Mason Vail; 12 step-great-grandchildren; two nephews, Geoffrey and John Wilcox; and niece, Andrea Wilcox. She was a former member of the Junior League of Rochester, Country Club of Rochester and Genesee Valley Club. She was a longtime board member of Hillside Children's Center and an advisory member of the board of directors of Rochester General Hospital Association. She was a current member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Rochester and Iona Hope Episcopal Church in Ft. Myers. There will be a private interment at the convenience of her family.
