Alberto Smithwick Obituary
He was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Alice to Francisca and Juan Smithwick. He had lived in Alice for most of his life and lived in Big Spring for 12 years. He had worked on ranches and farms and later worked for Jim Wells County. He was a Catholic.
He is survived by four sons, Albert Smithwich and Johnny Smithwick, both of Big Spring, Joe Smithwick of San Angelo and Benny Smithwick of Odessa; seven daughters, Alejandra Doporto, Beatrice Ramirez, Janie Frausto and Dorothy Bridges, all of Odessa, Frances Haro of Big Spring, Mary Harrison of New Braunfels and Nancy Qualls of North Richland Hills; one brother, Juan Smithwick of Alice; one sister, Kena Ochoa of Big Spring; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, two brothers and one sister.
