He came to the United States from Cuba playing professional baseball playing with the Big Spring Broncs and the Roswell Rockets, until he was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War. At the time of the draft, he was not yet a United States Citizen. While serving, he was a sharp shooter and his duty was driving the generals around during his tour. After his discharge from the Army, he returned and played softball from 1974 until 1982 for the Morton Chippers with Cotton Mize. Tito worked for Cosden Oil and Chemical for 35 years, retiring in 1989. He was also a realtor for Coldwell Banker Ellen Philips Realtors for many years. He was a Red Coat with the Chamber of Commerce. He was on the board at the YMCA, Salvation Army and the Red Cross. He was the Membership Leader for the membership drive in at the YMCA. Tito and his son Bill, were Double Leg Handball Partners. He also enjoyed dancing and going on cruises. Tito is survived by his fiancé Sharri Pruett; his children: Elizabeth Arencibia of Midland, Vienna Pope and husband Byron of Andrews and William (Bill) Arencibia of Midland and Wanda Brewer of Big Spring, whom he thought of as a daughter; four grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda, five brothers and two sisters. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude or MD Anderson Cancer Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences can be made at www.npwelch.com.

RIP Tito. Great memories with you playing baseball and working together at Cosden/Fina. You were a terrific friend of mine as you were with my Uncle Cotton Mize.
