Barry Horseman Memoriam
05/30/1947 - 10/11/2024
Barry L. Horseman, 77, formerly of Midland, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 in Grand Prairie, TX.
Memorial Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta, TX. The family invites guests to wear red in honor of Barry's favorite color.
Barry was born on May 30, 1947 in Bangs, Texas to James Horseman and Doris (Early) Shinn. He married Sharon Pudlo Horseman on March 23, 2002 in Midland, Texas. He served his country and retired from the US Navy Reserves. Barry worked in the Oil and Gas Industry from 1979 – 1998 and then worked for Midland College as The Director of Workforce Education from 1998-2011. After his retirement he returned to Oil & Gas Industry to start his own consulting business, Horseman Safety Services. He was a proud Kappa Alpha Alumni and was involved in and with Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Ray Shinn.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon (Pudlo) Horseman of Midlothian, TX; daughter, Cara Pruitt (Mark) of Midlothian, TX; two step-sons, James Swisher (Rhea) of Friendswood, TX, Brian Swisher (Stacy) of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Bryana Davis (Philip), Hunter Pruitt (Chloe), Tanner Pruitt, Parker Pruitt, Rylee Pruitt, Braxton Pruitt, Greyson Pruitt, Jamie Swisher, Sawyer Swisher; great-grandson, Collin Davis; sister, Carolyn Wilkerson of Odessa, TX; niece, Johna Straw of Odessa, TX.
