Charles Fary Obituary

Charles Warren Fary, 61, died on Tuesday, May 15 at his home after a long illness. "Charly" was born in 1951 in Newark Ohio to Doris and Raymond Fary. He is survived by one sister and her husband, Ramah and Chris Bosecker, four brothers, John Fary, David Fary, and his wife Laura, Raymond "Wick" and his wife Gina Bondurant and Dan Fary. He also leaves behind 3 nieces, 5 nephews and many friends. A memorial service was held at Hospice of Midland chapel on May 17, 2012.1 Charly dedicated his life to working metal and fabricating fine works of art. He created fireplace screens, tools, garden gates, chandeliers, stair rails, fences, beds benches and much more. The gates at the entrance of The Globe Theater in Odessa Texas were made and installed by Charly in 2002.Charly won numerous awards and his work was admired by many. Much of his work over the last 15 years was made for customers in Texas. Charly was a craftsman, a teacher and a role model of a life of discipline. Charl/s family and friends will miss him greatly. Charly was a dear friend in the 1990s when we both lived in Washington, DC. I am so saddened to just learn of his passing. He was a loving & generous & talented man. I have many fond memories of our time together before he moved to Texas.
