Eric Anderson Seay

Eric Anderson Seay, 52, of Midland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Eric was born on May 28, 1964 to Carolyn and Fred Seay in Midland. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School with the Class of 1982 and from there joined the work force. He eventually became employed with the City of Midland as a computer analyst and was part of that workforce from 1998 to 2015. At the time of his death, he was employed with Blazin' Safety Consulting. Eric was committed to his faith as a Christian and very active in church ministry. During his time in ministry, he served as a youth minister, First Baptist Church, Greenwood; as the senior pastor of First Southern Baptist Church, Gardendale; worked in the singles' ministry at Crestview Baptist Church, Midland; and served as an associate minister at True-Lite Christian Fellowship Church, Midland. He enjoyed singing on the praise team, leading home group studies, and teaching the new member's class where many newcomers were impacted by his teaching and his nurturing spirit. Survivors include his wife, Pam Seay; his sons, Steve Seay, Nathan Seay, and Treydan Seay; his daughters, Samantha Colvin (Roy) and Rhea Ann Seay; his parents, William "Fred" and Carolyn Seay; and his sister, Renee Seay. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be donated to True Lite Christian Fellowship. The family received friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 27, 2017 at True-Lite Christian Fellowship Church in Midland with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
