Jasper McKee

Jasper McKee, 72, of Midland, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at a local hospice. Jasper was born in a small town in Panola County on November 11, 1938, to the late Jasper and Flossy McKee. In 1956, he joined the U.S. Army, and in 1959 he married his soul mate, Elnora Moore. Jasper enjoyed fishing and traveling. Jasper is preceded in death by his father, Jasper "Buddy" McKee; step-mother, Lucille McKee; mother, Flossy Anderson; and brother, Jessie Raymond McKee. He is survived by his loving wife, Elnora Moore McKee of Midland; four sons, Ronald McKee of Dallas, TX, Leroy McKee of Temple, TX, Elroy McKee of Tyler, TX, and Jasper McKee of Midland; four daughters, Teresa Jackson, Rochelle Barasa, Laura Young, and Lucille Mackey, all of Midland; two brothers, Leroy McKee and Billy McKee, both of Carthage, TX; five sisters, Linda McKee, Mae Ethal McKee, Norma Jean McKee, and Zeth McKee, all of Marshall, TX, Gertrude Carter of Dallas, and Annie Maye Jackson of Lubbock, TX; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchil- dren; and two uncles. Family will have a gathering and receiving of friends, Friday, June 10, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at the Westside Church of Christ, located at 4410 W. Illinois.
