Jorge Levi Chavez

1961 - 2021

Jorge Levi Chavez, 59 of Fresno California passed away July 15, 2021. Jorge was born on August 28, 1961 in Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala. With the departure of our son, Jorge Levi Chavez, to eternity, I write that he was not a son from the womb but from the compassionate maternal heart of his adoptive mother; my wife: Judith Morales Chavez, who from the first day gave him her generous love and motherly care. During our missionary ministry in the town of Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala we came across many social needs and problems that got our attention. The most urgent was the vast infant mortality. Children were perishing in large numbers daily from measles, small pox, and tuberculosis. This was Jorge's case when his biological father brought him to our home. He was extremely sick to the point that I believed that he wouldn't make it through that night. God sent his angels throughout Jorge's life. Each one of them participated in this sick child that he lived 59 years on this earth. We want to thank God and each person who was a blessing in the life of our son Jorge Levi. We also want to thank Jennifer Proctor for her friendship and care she had for Jorge. Jorge is survived by his father Rev. Axel P. Chavez, brothers, Axel Adolfo Chavez (Alma), Gary Rene Chavez, Jamie Salvador Chavez (Lisa), Arvin Benjamin Chavez (Dora), Sisters, Lydia Judith Acosta (Ramon), Ana Lizbeth Sifuentes (Placido), Ruth Magaly Natividad, Lidia Christina Ariza(Alfonso), his beloved Nanas, and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mom Judith Morales Chavez. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 3:00 p.m.. At Iglesia Bautista La Fe, 408 State St, Big Spring, Texas. Burial will follow at Garden in the Desert Cemetery, Big Spring, Texas.
