Julie Anne Sandefer

Julie Anne Sandefer, 60, of Midland, Texas, lost her battle with cancer on February 21, 2016. Julie was born April 5, 1955 in Torrence, California, to her mother, Hazel Marie Gipson, and father, Arvel Gilbert Gipson. Julie married the love of her life, Monte Glen Sandefer in 1996. She worked at Chaparral Nut & Bolt for 28 years and spent the past three years enjoying retirement and her grandson JJ Peppers. Julie was an active volunteer throughout Midland including Party for a Cause. She was a strong and true friend. Julie is survived by husband Monte Sandefer; son Joseph (Cheryl) Peppers, grandson JJ Peppers of Midland, Texas; mother Hazel Gipson of French Camp, California; siblings, Roselee Gipson of Stockton, California, Jodie Ekman of French Camp, California, Arvel Gipson (Susan) of Russellville, Arkansas and Andy Gipson of Sacramento, California. Her nieces and nephews include Amelia Gipson, Rhiannon Ekman, Genevieve Ekman, Kevin Gipson, Ariene Gipson, Gregory Gipson, Larissa Kitchens, Starla Foreman and Melissa Hill. Her father, Arvel Gilbert Gipson preceded her in death in 1994. Services will be held at Cotton Flat Baptist Church, 6409 South Highway 349, Midland, Texas, Saturday, February 27th at 1:00 pm.
