Lelia Louise Parkins

Our loving mom, grandma, and great-grandma, Lelia Parkins, passed away in her sleep in her home. She was born November 18, 1933 and was called home on November 9, 2016 a week shy of her 83rd birthday. Lelia was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Parkins. She is survived by three sons, Thomas Parkins, Leland Parkins and wife Monica, and Bradley S. Parkins, all of Midland; four grandkids, Leland Parkins and wife Molly of Garden Grove California, Cassandra Parkins, Amanda Parkins, and Matthew Parkins, all of Midland; eight great-grandchildren, Destiny Valenzuela, Leanna Holden, Jordan Lopez, Unique Lopez, Jayclyn Reyes, Mandy Reyes, Brooklyn Stephenson, and Christian Carter Stephenson. Lelia was a warm-hearted, kind person; she was not afraid to speak her mind and truly loved by her family. She enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, and playing scrabble. She was an amazing artist and loved to cross stitch. Lelia was a real people person that is loved and will be deeply missed by so many. She was a member of True Lite Christian Fellowship. A service to celebrate Lelia's celebration of life will be held at True Lite Christian Fellowship on Monday November 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Thomas Funeral Home.
