Marcus Efren Montes. Devoted father and husband. Marcus Efren Montes went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 10th at his home in Midland. Marcus was born September 8th, 1959 in Dallas Texas to Anthony Joseph Montes and Nelly Parra Montes. Marc attended UT of Arlington and holds a degree in Theology from Calvary Bible Institute. Marc was a songwriter, musician, singer, minster of the Gospel, Bible teacher and prayer warrior. His desire was to win souls for Christ at any cost. He loved taking Jesus into the streets. He was the lead singer for the Montes Brothers Family group and administered Jesus wherever the opportunity arose. His life was and is an inspiration to people of all walks of life. Marc is survived by his wife of 25 years, Claudia Ortiz Montes and by his children Claudia Montserrat (Ortiz) McGill, Tanya Nelly Montes, Marisa Nichole Montes, and Anthony Marcus Montes, son in law Justin Blake McGill, his 4 brothers Mario E. Montes, Anthony J. Montes, John D. Montes, Daniel S. Montes, his beloved German Shepherd dog and companion Major Montes and many many friends. The family will truly miss him but is rejoicing that he is with our savior Jesus Christ. Memorial Service will be Saturday, October 13th at 2 pm at the Gathering Church at 3303 N.
