Patrick Brian Healy, commonly known to his friends and customers as Mr. Pat, died September 27, 2025 in Odessa TX at 94 years old. Pat had a varied career catering parties, decorating homes, and running a variety of retail shops in Odessa and Midland, TX, as well as Roswell, Las Cruces, and Ruidoso, NM. He was well known for his 34 plus years of participation in the Ruidoso Aspencade wearing outrageous comedic costumes. Pat was active in a wide variety of civic affairs in Ruidoso and is remembered by his friends for his thoughtful gestures of kindness towards others, whether friends or stranger, as well as to the hungry deer, birds and stray animals that he loved and fed daily. He had a playful sense of humor, remarkable artistic talent and a deep spiritual faith.
Pat was born in El Paso, Texas to Jeremiah Edward and Elizabeth Hailes Healy September 2, 1931. He is survived by his sister-in-law Jacqueline Gleghorn of Wills Point, Texas, his niece Jerry Louise Shaffer and her husband William of Crossville TN, and nephews William Healy Jr. and his wife Lee Anne of Colorado Springs, CO, Michael Gordinier and his wife Linda of Houston, TX, Walter Gordinier and his wife Susan of Poulsbo, WA, Tony Gordinier and his wife Suzi of Woodbridge, CA, as well as numerous grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Special thanks go to Mary Ann Stewart, Amy Stewart and Shirley Qualia whose help made Pat's final years much better.
Pat's interment will occur December 5, 2025 at the Gavilan Memorial Garden cemetery in Ruidoso New Mexico at 1:30 PM.
