Patsy Ruth Cantrell Walker, 76, of Midland, met her Savior face to face on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Patsy was born on December 12, 1946, to Bill and Azalee Cantrell in Grand Saline, Texas. Patsy attended school at Rankin Elementary (Rankin, Texas), North Elementary, Cowden Junior High, and Midland High School (Midland, Texas). She was a charter member of Kelview Heights Baptist Church where she attended for 64 years. She served in many roles at the church including teaching Sunday school and singing in the choir. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed several other hobbies such as embroidery and puzzles.
Patsy worked many years as a bookkeeper and office manager for several local car dealerships including Huckabee Chevrolet, Frank See Chevrolet, Jack Sherman Chevrolet, All American Chevrolet, and retired from Classic Honda of Midland in May 2016.
Patsy is survived by her loving family: daughter, Kimberly Daw (Scott) of Midland, and son, Gregory Walker of Midland, five grandchildren, Emily Daw Chadwick (Bronson) of Midland, Jordan Daw (Carissa) of Grapevine, Katy Daw of Midland, Hanna Casto (Aaron) of Midland, Hayden Walker of Pilot Point, and great grandson, Jonathan Daw of Grapevine, brother Claudie Cantrell (Danna) of Midland and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Azalee Cantrell, sister, Wanda Bagwell, and brother Danny Cantrell.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards Brookdale Assisted Living, Ashton Medical Lodge, Midland Memorial Hospital staff, and Hospice of Midland.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Friday, August 18, 2023, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Kelview Heights Baptist Church Chapel. Graveside service will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Missions Ministry of Kelview Heights Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association.
Pallbearers will be Randy Bush, Christopher Bush, Daniel Cantrell, Aaron Casto, Bronson Chadwick, and Jordan Daw.
