Roy Alan Larkin

Roy Alan Larkin passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2005 in Anson, Texas.

He was born April 26, 1954 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Lee Roy and Marcella Larkin. Roy was raised in California and Virginia while his father served in the Navy. He attended the United Institute of Electronics in Louisville, KY where he earned his Associate of Science, Electronics in 1974. Roy met Suzie Grove in 1977; on their first date they went to see Star Wars. A month later, Roy and Suzie were married at C&C Auto Parts in Greenville, TN by the owner who also happened to be a J.P.; they went there for oil and spark plugs and left husband and wife. When Roy graduated he went to work with Petty Ray. Petty Ray then merged with Geosource and eventually became Halliburton; Roy worked with them for 18 years. He then started with Dawson Geophysical, where he was about to celebrate his 15th anniversary. Roy also worked with Royal Systems for over 2 years.

Roy was preceded in death by Drut, Puppy, Benji, Phideaux, Snuggles and Scruffy Lynn; Suzie and Roy's four legged furry kids.

He is survived by his wife, Suzie of Midland; his mother, Marcella June Larkin; brothers, Mike Larkin and Ray Larkin; sister Teresa Larkin-Corbin all of Gloucester Point, Virginia; his niece, Jessica Larkin of Las Vegas, NV; and his furry children, Gizzamo, Lady, Angel, Weekie Sr., Pinto (who shared Roy's birthday), George, Mystie, Jabber, Little Weekie Jr., and Maynard.

The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home Monday, March 21, 2005 between the hours of 12 noon and 2:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 21, 2005 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Rogers officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
